Selvan Govender was appointed CEO of PURCO SA in 2008, after an extensive career in the private sector. He comes with a wealth of experience gained in the private sector, after spending many years in laboratories as an Analytical Chemist and in management positions for Multinational organisations such as Shell and BP, Henkel, Hoechst and Air Liquide.
An Analytical Chemist by profession, Selvan also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and an MBA. His interests include current affairs, keeping fit and playing golf when time permits. He is married to Priya, with 3 children.
