PURCO SA’s sixty three member institutions include every South African and Namibian university, a rapidly growing contingent of TVET colleges, and a broad range of allied institutions such as the CSIR, SABS, Academy of Science and the National Health Laboratory Service.

Every year procurement and finance executives from almost every member institution in South Africa, Namibia and Botswana, as well as their supplier partners, congregate for three days of learning and collaboration at the annual PURCO SA Conference and Exhibition.

The event is designed to maximise collaboration between delegates through knowledge transfer and learning, structured engagement, activities and social functions.

The conference includes a comprehensive programme of keynote addresses, plenary and breakaway sessions, interactive presentations, round table discussion forums, and custom workshops.

All delegates have access to a mobile Conference App which provides delegate details, the programme as well as  exhibitor contact and marketing information.

High impact exhibition

A core objective of the event is to encourage and facilitate collaboration between buyers and their supplier partners.  An Expo with upwards of 45 exhibitors will share their latest information on their products, services and plans,  while being encouraged to participate fully in every aspect of the conference event.  To encourage engagment and collaboration the event includes an incentivised Buyer-Seller Engagement Programme which ensures repeat visits to every exhibition stand.

Suppliers are encouraged to  participate in all the conference sessions and evening functions, and exhibition open times are maximised to deliver as much engagement time as possible.
