Dr Tony Davidson
Medical Doctor and Occupational Health Specialist
Dr. Davidson completed his MBBCh at University of Witwatersrand in 1980 and then went on to get a Diploma in Aviation Medicine and BSc (Med) (Hons) Sports Science at UCT. In 1992 he completed his Diploma in Occupational Health (DOH) and in 1997 he received his MBA from UCT.
Since 1992 he has been consulting in occupational health and medical/health care management to various large corporates including Engen, Nampak and Woolworths. In 2008 he received his Diploma in Health Technology Assessments and Health Economics at University of Stellenbosch Business School.
He has also been involved in the development of training modules for managers to understand and deal with health related issues in the workplace, such as: dealing with poor performance due to underlying personal issues, absenteeism management, listening skills, EAP &/or psycho-social referral systems; HIV/AIDS management; drinking and drugging in the workplace; and dealing with mental illness in the workplace.
